The State Health Society of Bihar (SHS)
has invited applications for Community Health Officer posts. Eligible candidates can apply online through the official website of SHS Bihar at shs.bihar.gov.in. This recruitment drive will fill up 4500 posts in the organization.
The online application process is going to start on July 1 and continue until July 21, 2024 (6:00 pm). The minimum age of the applicant should be 21 years old. A maximum of 5 years of age relaxation will be given to the departmental candidates. The application fee for this recruitment drive will be accepted through online payment methods only. Applications received through any other mode shall not be considered, and applications with incomplete details will be rejected.
The recruitment drive aims to fill up a total of 4,500 Community Health Officer posts. Each Community Health Officer is entitled to a remuneration of Rs 40,000 per month. Of this, Rs 32,000 per month is admissible as fixed remuneration and remaining Rs 8,000 is to be paid as performance-linked Payment.
Eligibility Criteria
Age limit: Minimum age requirement is 21 years and maximum age requirement is 47 years as on June 1, 2024. More details are in the notification.
Educational qualification: BSc Nursing with successful completion of six-month integrated curriculum of Certificate in Community Health (CCH) from an Indian Nursing Council/State Nursing Council-recognized institute or University. OR Post Basic BSc Nursing with successful completion of six-month integrated curriculum of Certificate in Community Health (CCH) from an Indian Nursing Council/State Nursing Council-recognized institute or University.

Bihar CHO Vacancy 2024
Bihar State Health Society has invited applications for the position of Community Health Officer (CHO) on a contract basis under the National Health Mission. Earlier in this year, Advt 03/2024 was issued for the same but got cancelled. Now the Bihar CHO vacancies are released again. The window to apply is going to be available between July 1 and 21, 2024. This post is meant to lead the primary care provider team consisting of female health workers, male health workers, ASHA’s, etc at Health Sub-Centres-Health & Wellness Centres (HSC-HWCs).
