Speaking at a party event, Vijay said the NEET exams has turned out to be a bug struggle for the stydents from backward, most backward and oppressed communities. “People have lost faith in NEET examination. The nation doesn’t need NEET. Exemption from NEET is the only solution. I wholeheartedly welcome resolution against NEET which was passed in the State Assembly. “How students who studied in state syllabus can take NEET which is under NCERT syllabus? The recent mishap in the NEET exam took away all its credibility. Diversity is strength and not weakness,” he added.

The Greatest of All Time-star also urged students to become leaders in their respective fields. “Many consider only medicine or engineering as viable professional fields; in Tamil Nadu, we already have world-class doctors, engineers and lawyers in abundance. What we are currently lacking is good leaders. “Don’t lose your identity at any cost. Of late in Tamil Nadu, there’s been a big spike in the use of drugs among youngsters. As a father and as a leader of a political party, I am scared of this situation. I am not here to accuse the ruling government of being unable to protect youngsters from drug abuse. I am saying that sometimes we need to take care of our lives first. Develop self-control and self-discipline. Say no to temporary pleasures, say no to drugs.”

With the launch of his political party Tamizhaga Vetri Kazhagam earlier this week, ‘Thalapathy’ Vijay has joined the long list of Tamil actors joining politics. In a letter, he said that the party would contest the 2026 Tamil Nadu State Assembly elections.

Sinha further said that there are reports indicating the accused’s association with RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav during his judicial custody in Ranchi. He emphasized the need for a thorough investigation into the matter and questioned Tejashwi Prasad’s silence on the issue.

The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Bihar Police had arrested 13 individuals last month as part of their investigation into the alleged NEET-UG 2024 paper leak. The arrested individuals included examinees, their parents, and the alleged mastermind, Sikander Prasad Yadvendu. Sinha accuse RJD leader of engaging in corrupt practices, citing report suggesting the accused’s association with Lalu Prasad Yadav during his judicial custody in Ranchi.
