Karnataka SSLC Exam 2 Results: Today, the Karnataka School Examination & Assessment Board. (KSEAB) announced the results for the Secondary School Leaving Certificate. Out of the 2,23,293 students who appeared for the exams, 69,275 passed, resulting in an overall pass percentage of 31.02%. Government Schools: Out of 1,10,654 students, 32,570 passed, translating to a pass percentage of 29.43%. Aided Schools: Out of 66,712 students, 19,154 passed, with a pass percentage A closer examination of the results reveals a significant gender disparity in pass percentages. Of the 1,44,153 boys who took the exam, only 38,820 managed to pass, yielding a pass percentage of 26.93%. On the other hand, the girls outperformed the boys by a considerable margin.
Out of 79,140 girls, 30,455 passed, resulting in a pass percentage of 38.48%. This notable difference underscores the superior performance of female students in the SSLC Exam 2. The performance analysis based on school type further highlights interesting trends. The breakdown is as follows:These figures show a varied performance across different subjects, with Language 1 and Language 3 having relatively higher pass percentages. Unaided Schools: Out of 45,927 students, 17,551 pass, recording the highest pass percentage of 38.21%. This indicates that unaided schools are leading in terms of successful outcomes for their students.
Overall Performance and Subject-wise ResultsWhile the overall pass percentage stands at 31.02%, a subject-wise breakdown offers additional insights:• Language 1: 53.2%• Language 2: 47.72%• Language 3: 51.04%• Subject 1: 43.43%• Subject 2: 37.96%• Subject 3: 50.95%.The results are now available on the official websites, and students have also received their results via SMS. The results also exhibit a slight difference in performance between urban and rural students. In urban areas, out of 89,691 students, 27,955 passed, resulting in a pass percentage of 31.17%. Conversely, in rural areas, out of 1,33,602 students, 41,320 passed, with a pass percentage of 30.93%. The marginally higher urban pass rate highlights the persistent challenges faced by rural students in accessing quality education.
