Marty Supreme is a movie that Josh Safdie made. It is really emotional. The movie is about what the main character wants to do with his life and how he feels about himself. Josh Safdie made the movie focus on these things. The main person in the movie is played by Timothée Chalamet. The movie does not have a story it is more about what is going on in the main characters mind. The main character is struggling with his feelings. That is the main problem in the movie. Marty Supreme is a movie that shows what the main character is going through. It is a very personal story. The movie is like a journey into the characters mind and it is a tough journey for him. Marty Supreme is, about the characters feelings and what he wants to do with his life. The movie is not about telling a story. It really makes you think about what it means to believe in your destiny. The movie makes you think about how much it costs to believe in this destiny.

The character Marty played by Chalamet is not a hero. He is also not the kind of person who does things to get people to feel sorry for him. Marty is a man who really thinks he is meant to do something. He thinks this even when things do not go his way and there is no proof that he will be successful. The movie is about Marty and his thoughts on destiny. Marty believes in his destiny. This is what the movie is, about.

From the first scene Marty Supreme makes it clear what it is, about. The directors way of filming. With close-ups that’re really close, a camera that does not stay still sound that feels overwhelming and a style that feels like a documentary. Pulls the viewers into Martys messed up mind. This movie does not try to make the audience feel comfortable. It does not want to tell the viewers why Marty does what he does in words. The movie wants the audience to feel what Marty is going through. His confusion, his desires and the fact that he still has hope even when things seem tough. Marty Supreme is a movie that puts the audience in Martys shoes. Destiny is not a dream in this movie. It is a weight that Marty has to carry. He makes a promise to himself. That promise becomes the thing that helps him and also the thing that hurts him the most. Destiny is, like that for Marty it guides him. It also torments him.

Timothée Chalamets performance is the center of the movie. He is known for playing characters who’re sensitive and think a lot about themselves.. In this film Timothée Chalamet takes on a different kind of role. His character Marty is always on edge he likes to argue and’s not easy to get along with. Marty says things without finishing his thoughts he moves around quickly. Looks like he is about to break down emotionally. However under all this Timothée Chalamets character Marty has a desire to be important to be chosen to be someone who has a life that means something more, than just getting by. Timothée Chalamet does not play Marty as someone who’s really unlucky but rather as a man who makes his own problems by holding on to the idea that he is great even when the world does not think so. The world just does not agree that Marty is great. Marty wants to be great so badly that he keeps doing things that hurt him. Timothée Chalamet shows Marty as a man who makes his suffering and that is what makes him so interesting to watch. Marty is a man who wants greatness. The world refuses to give it to him and that is what causes all his problems.

Josh Safdie is making a movie by himself this time. He worked with his brother Benny before on movies like Good Time and Uncut Gems. Now Josh Safdie is trying something with his movie making style. He is looking more at what’s going on inside the characters.

Before Josh Safdie made movies that were about things happening outside like crime and people trying to survive.. In Marty Supreme all the crazy stuff is happening inside Martys head.

The main problem for Marty is not about having money or staying safe. It is about figuring out who he really is. Marty Supreme is scared that he might just be a person. He is not just fighting against the people around him he is fighting against his fears, about being ordinary. The Safdie brother really makes you feel this fear when you are watching the movie. He makes Martys mind a bad place to be, like a city that is very scary and you do not know what is going to happen next. The Safdie makes Martys mind like a place that’s full of danger and surprises it is like being, in a city that is very tough and unpredictable.

The phrase “peddles destiny” is really important to understand the movie and Marty as a person. Marty is always talking about his future like it is already happening. He tells people that he will be successful and famous and he even tells himself this even when things are not going well. Marty thinks that his future is set so he talks about it all the time. He brings it up in conversations in arguments. When he is feeling really down. Believing in his destiny makes Marty feel better. It also makes him feel alone. The idea of “peddles destiny” is something that Marty uses to make himself feel strong. He keeps talking about his destiny to remind himself of what he wants. The people around Marty can tell that he is really struggling inside. He seems sure of himself but it is clear that he is trying to hide how unsure he really is. Martys confidence does not feel like it comes from a place it feels like he needs it to survive. The way Marty acts so sure of things does not feel like he really believes it it feels like he is just trying to make himself feel better. Martys confidence is, like a mask that hides how scared he is.

Safdies direction really brings out the tension in the movie. He does this by cutting up the story and the pictures into pieces. Sometimes a scene will start in the middle of people talking. Then just stop, which is kind of like how Marty is feeling inside. The camera spends a lot of time on Timothée Chalamets face. You can see all these different emotions like uncertainty, anger and hope. When nobody is talking it is just as important as when they’re because it makes the audience feel Martys weakness. Marty Supreme is not really about being the best it is, about what if you never make it. The movie makes you think about how scary that’s.

The idea of how Marty Supreme values himself is really connected to how well he does things. Marty Supreme is always putting on a show. He looks confident he looks like he wants to get things done. He looks like he knows what he is doing.. The film keeps showing us that this is not really how Marty Supreme feels. Down Marty Supreme is scared. He does not just want to do he wants to prove to himself that he is worth something. This is what makes Marty Supremes story a big test of how he values himself. Marty Supreme is judging himself society is judging him. He feels like there are a lot of people who have expectations of him even if he cannot see them. When the person fails, when they get rejected and when they have doubts it all seems to be proof that they’re not good enough.. Still they keep going because they think that giving up would mean their life is not worth anything. They think that if they stop trying it would be like saying that their life has no meaning. The person keeps going because they believe that their life has a purpose. They do not want to give that up. Every failure and every rejection is a reminder to the person that they have to keep trying that they cannot give up on their life. The person thinks that surrendering would be, like admitting that their life lacks purpose so they keep going no matter what.

Timothée Chalamets physicality adds another layer, to this portrayal of Marty.

Martys body language is really tense. You can tell he is always waiting for something to go wrong.

His voice is sometimes very quiet. Then it gets really loud.

This makes the character of Marty very interesting to watch.

Marty is not the person all the time he changes a little bit at a time and you can see it in the way he talks and moves.

This makes the audience feel like they are really seeing what is going on inside Martys head. It feels very real.

The way Timothée Chalamet plays Marty makes you feel like you are seeing a person with real feelings and thoughts.

As Marty Supreme gets going after the scary start the movie starts to take form. It does not have a story line but it is more about the emotional and psychological things that happen to Marty. These things show how Marty feels about the world. Josh Safdie does this on purpose. He does not want the movie to be like a line from start to finish. Instead he puts together a bunch of moments that show what happens when things, like what’s meant to be what you want to achieve being a man and who you are all come together inside Marty. Marty really wants to think his life is special. Marty Supreme is a movie that’s full of these kinds of moments. Martys story is not really about what he does. It is more about how he thinks about his life when he does not have the things that people usually think are successful. Martys story is about how he sees his life and what he thinks it means when he does not have things like money or a big house. Martys life is what is important, in this story not what he achieves.

The film is really, about destiny. It does not see destiny as something that comes from God or the universe. Instead it is something that people make up for themselves. Marty thinks he is going to do something with his life.. It is not really clear why he thinks this. He does not have a talent that everyone else can see. He is not rich or born into a family. He does not even have a chance to do something big. Marty just feels like he needs to have a destiny. If he does not have a destiny then he feels like he is not worth anything. The film shows that destiny is something that Marty needs to believe in. Destiny is what makes Marty feel like he is somebody. The way Safdie does things is to look at how people make their meaning when the world does not give them any. Marty really believes in what he’s doing but it is not because he is a hero. He does this to protect himself from thinking that his life might not be special. Safdie is looking at how people like Marty make their meaning. Martys strong belief is like a shield that keeps him from being scared that his life is just ordinary. Safdie uses this idea of people making their meaning to understand people, like Marty.

Marty Supreme has a lot of ambition. This ambition is an edged thing for Marty. It drives him to do things. It also hurts him. The problem with Martys ambition is that it does not really have a direction. He does not know what he wants to do or how he is going to get

Marty Supreme just wants to be successful. He thinks that success is something that will just happen to him. He does not have a plan for how he’s going to achieve it. This makes Marty Supremes ambition very unpredictable. When things do not go his way Marty Supreme gets very upset. He takes it personally when people say no to him or when things do not work out. Every time Marty Supreme faces a setback it feels like the end of the world, to him. Rejection is very hard for Marty Supreme to deal with. The Safdie shows how being very ambitious can be bad for you if you do not have a plan. Marty does not do things because he loves to do them or because he wants to be good at them. He does things because he wants people to notice him and think he is special. The Safdie is trying to tell us that Martys ambition is actually hurting him because he is not thinking about what’s good for him he is just thinking about what will make people like him. Marty wants to be famous and loved by everyone that is what is driving him to do the things he does. The Safdie is showing us what happens when people, like Marty get too caught up in wanting to be special.

Martys idea of what it means to be a man is really important to him. He thinks that being a man is about being in charge and being seen as strong. For Marty being a man means being confident and able to take control of things. He wants to be the best and be seen as the best. Marty measures himself against what he thinks a real man should be like. When people do not pay attention to him or ignore him it makes him feel really bad about himself. It is not about his job it is about who he is, as a man. Martys sense of self worth is tied to his masculinity. The mans sense of being a man feels threatened and he reacts with aggression. He tries to act tough or he just pulls away emotionally. His masculinity is what feels threatened. That is why he responds this way.

Safdie does not think that this kind of masculinity is great. He shows that it is actually really weak. Marty acts tough. It is just an act to hide how unsure of himself he is. When Marty fights with people it does not feel like he is really fighting. It feels like he is trying to prove that he matters. The movie is saying that what people think men should be like can cause men a lot of trouble. It can make them feel bad about themselves and try hard to be something they are not. Safdie is looking at how masculinity, like Martys can be a problem. Masculinity can make men feel like they have to be tough all the time. That is not a good thing. Marty is a nice guy but the thing that really scares him is being nobody special. This fear of not mattering is what makes Marty do things that push his friends and family away from him. Martys fear of insignificance is a deal for him and it affects how he acts around other people like his friends and family and that is why they do not want to be, around Marty.

Marty Supreme is a person who is trying to figure out who he is. The thing is Marty Supreme does not really know what he wants from life. He just knows what he wishes he could be. There is a difference between what is real and what Marty Supreme wants for himself. This difference is what makes the story of Marty Supreme so interesting.

Marty Supreme makes a picture of himself in his mind. It is not really who he is now. It is who he wants to be someday. By doing this Marty Supreme does not have to think about the things that scare him or the things he is not good, at.

The person who made the movie, Safdie shows that who we think we are is a story we tell ourselves. This story can fall apart if things get tough. Marty Supreme is an example of this.

The movie is over the place. It has scenes that do not really connect they are very emotional. They do not really end. Marty goes from one thing to another. You can see how desperate he is. When he meets people it is not like he is getting closer to what he wants. Instead they make him think about what’s going on inside him. Every person he meets is like a judge deciding if he is good enough. They do not even mean to be this way. It still hurts him. When they do not care or they do not believe in him it hurts him a lot. This makes Marty think that he has to try harder to show everyone what he is meant to do. The movie shows this. It shows how unstable everything is. Marty is like this because of the way the movie is made. The scenes are, like pieces that do not fit together. This makes the whole thing feel unstable.

Marty Supreme is really interesting because of how it deals with failure. Failure is not something that happens and then you move on. It is a problem that can really hurt Martys sense of who he is. In a lot of movies when someone fails they learn from it. Become a better person.. In Marty Supreme failure just makes Marty more stuck in his own little world.

Marty Supreme does not learn when he fails. He just says that things did not really happen that way. He says that people just did not understand him or that someone is working against him or that he just has to wait a little to succeed. Marty Supreme refuses to see what is really going on. This is what ultimately causes him a lot of trouble. Marty Supreme and his failure to accept reality is an issue, for him.

Safdie also looks at how the world around Marty affects his problems. The people around him do not really care they just think about what they can get from him. They often ignore him. There is nobody to help him no group of friends who care no chance for him to do something better. Marty lives in a world that likes people who’re sure of themselves and who seem confident but it does not care about people who are struggling. In this world Martys thoughts, about his destiny seem crazy. They also make sense. It is a way for him to deal with being ignored and not cared for.

Timothée Chalamets performance really brings out these themes by showing Marty as a man who is always going back and forth between feeling confident and falling apart. You can tell a lot from his eyes even when he is not saying anything. When it is quiet you can see the fear that he is trying to hide with his talk. Wanting to be successful is not exciting, for Marty it is really tiring. You can see how hard it is for him to keep believing in his dreams it shows in the way he stands the way he moves and the way he sounds.

Marty Supreme ultimately presents ambition as a double-edged sword. It is the force that keeps Marty alive, that pushes him forward when everything else seems meaningless. But it is also the force that prevents him from finding peace. His identity becomes trapped in a future that never arrives, making the present unbearable. Safdie uses Marty’s struggle to question a cultural narrative that glorifies ambition without acknowledging its psychological cost.
