The NEET-UG exam which was conducted on May 5 and saw the participation of more than 24 lakh candidates, has recently stirred a controversy after the results were declared. The results of the exam were scheduled to be released on June 14 but were instead released 10 days earlier on June 4.
The individual said, “NEET 2024 EXAM HAS BEEN A SCAM!” I will try to explain everything in the form of a thread. Online registrations for NEET UG 2024 started on 9th Feb 2024 and were extended till 16th March. Everything was well and good up to that point. The individual continued, explaining the re-opening of the online registrations for two days, saying,

“All of a sudden, on April 9, NTA decided to re-open the online registrations for 2 days from April 9 to 10 due to ‘Stake Holder’s Requests’. Why whole month later?”

Alakh Pandey, the founder of the exam prep startup PhysicsWAllah, has urged the Supreme Court to thoroughly investigate alleged discrepancies surrounding the NEET-UG 2024, the all-India medical entrance examination.
Pandey, known for his vocal stance on issues related to the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (Undergraduate) (NEET-UG) exam, has filed a public interest litigation requesting the court to appoint an independent committee to probe the matter. NEET Result 2024 Controversy: Reacting to a video circulating on social media of a student claiming discrepancies in NEET (UG) 2024 scoring and receiving a torn OMR Answer Sheet, the National Testing Agency (NTA) on Monday clarified that no torn OMR Answer Sheet was sent via an official NTA ID.

“Regarding the viral video featuring Ms. Ayushi Patel, claiming discrepancies in NEET (UG) 2024 scoring and receiving a torn OMR Answer Sheet, NTA clarifies that no torn OMR Answer Sheet was sent via an official NTA ID,” the national testing body said.

After sending multiple emails to the NTA, she was sent her OMR sheet.

“When I received the OMR sheet within the next 24 hours, I found it damaged, appearing torn. Upon checking with the answer key, I found only one Chemistry answer wrong. The rest were correct, and I should have scored 715 marks.”

She claimed that her OMR sheet had been tampered with. “The scanned image they provided shows a blue thumbprint, which isn’t possible; it should have been black,” she stated. “This indicates that the OMR has been manually altered.”

The student’s father runs a medical store, and her mother is a homemaker. Recently, the NTA announced that the education ministry has formed a four-member committee to review the grace marks awarded to over 1,500 candidates in the NEET 2024 results. The medical entrance exam results sparked controversy as 67 students achieved the top rank, and several candidates claimed there were ‘irregularities,’ which the NTA has denied.
